How is it calculated ?
The Trend With Power indicator gives us two essential informations on each bar about the trend :
- The length of the trend (counted in bars)
- The power of the trend (counted in ticks from the begining of the trend to the actual bar)
The oscillator is simply a division between the two informations : Number of ticks/Number of bars.
It gives an easy view of the power of a trend.
Trend With Power Osc : Parameters
The Period is the parameter of the Trend With Power indicator used inside.
Trend With Power OSC : How to use it
As explained , this indicator is used only in conjonction with the Trend With Power indicator. His fonctionnality is to find difference between real trend reverse , and trend consolidations.
The indicator line oscillates near a 0 line.
When the trend is powerful , the indicator line go away from the 0 lines.
While the Trend With Power indicator is showing dots in the same color , it shows a trend , the oscillator has no real importance.
When the Trend With Power indicator changes , it's time to look the oscillator.
- The oscillator comes back to 0 line and stay near it. Its' a CONSOLIDATION.
- The oscikkator comes back to 0 line and directly go away on the other side. It's a REVERSE.
Example
Depending of your 'patience' in trading.
In this trade , you should enter on the Reverse signal , and stayied all day in the trade.
Keeping a stop loss moving after each consolidation period to get a HUGE profit.
